Jianhao98 is the desktop you are looking at right now. Every page has its own address, so you can share a link to any page and it opens with the right window already on screen.
A few things I wanted to get right:
- Windows that you can drag, resize, minimize and maximize, with a taskbar and a Start menu.
- Pixel icons and cursors drawn from scratch, so nothing is copied from an old system.
- Pages that still work without JavaScript, and on a phone.
The site is built with Next.js and the 98.css library. Even the song in the music player is generated in code.
